I wound up volunteering to teach basketball, a game I new almost nothing about. Right after I wound up with the task, a parent greeted me and asked what type of coaching style I would use. Ive been training for six months now. I'm Ive done a fair job of supporting my people develop skills and confidence levels they could use on the court and in the real world. This experience has taught me much about myself and about training. In relation to coaching, I've learned that it is not all fun and games, but a huge responsibility; nevertheless, I think Ive prepared myself for the challenge. After all, my group is 5 and 1.
